Can watching this video over and over again salve the pain of a tough playoff loss?
Well . . . maybe just a little bit.

Erleichda!:
I’m sorry for your loss … but I’m a Saints fan, so I’m not that sorry … ;-)
One of my best friends is a Philly fan, and we’ve watched both Eagles-Saints matchups this season together. It was pretty funny, since we’re both rabid fans but we’re also both pacifists … we kept talking smack on each other’s teams, then apologizing to each other afterwards …
Last night’s game was a real nail-biter, though — very exciting and really well-played by both sides. Garcia is one hell of a passer.
Matt:
Thanks, Erleichda. For what it’s worth, I give Reggie Bush a lot of credit for the game he played after taking that hit.
Eli:
Why can’t the Giants get some DBs like that???
Matt:
I had no idea you were a Giants fan, Eli.
Eli:
Well, I *am* from NYC…
Mike Quick:
Shel Brown goes absolutely Scott Stevens on him. The hit of the year by far. How Bush got up is beyond me, but thats why he gets paid the big $$$
Just wait til next year.
GO EAGLES
howard:
this memory is my only consolation at the moment, Matt. I have a feeling I’ll be visiting often to refresh it in the coming days.
Comandante Agi:
Looks like the NFL already threatened YouTube with a lawsuit, because the video has been removed. I wanted to watch the vid because I’m not really sure what you’re referring to. (I don’t follow the NFL)
Matt:
Damn. Now I’m really depressed.
Agi — it was one of the best, most forceful hits I’ve ever seen in my life. I believe it was the second play of the game. Reggie Bush went out wide, and Drew Brees threw him a screen pass. As Bush jumped up and reached for the ball, Sheldon Brown flew up and nailed him. The hit was heavy. Afterwards, Bush went down on the ground, pulled himself up to a standing position, and then fell again. He crawled on the turf on all fours, looking as if his rib cage had just been cracked in half.
I’ve never seen anything like it.
Matt:
Found another version . . . we’ll see how long it lasts.
yoko:
I admire Reggie Bush’s resilience in being able to eventually shake it off and walk off the field without assistance.
But no, this is hardly consolation for the Eagles’ loss.
Well, as I say every year, there’s next year.
But for now, I eagerly await the Super Bowl. It’s going to be an exciting game, for sure. I have no preference this year (a first!)– may the best team win.
