Five Years Later

Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band’s performance of “My City of Ruins” during the televised “Tribute to Heroes” remains the single most moving memorialization of 9/11 that I have seen.

 

Five years later, and all we’ve done is sink.

Sink, indeed. I hear a lot about being angry five years later. But I can’t get over the sadness of how low we’ve descended.

Here, here. 5 years and I don’t think we’ve reacted to the real threat. If we had, Katrina wouldn’t have happened - at least the government bungling of the response.
