Yeah…I’m afraid FEMA’s just starting on it’s Keystone Cop antics of horror.

Suzy Shedd:

If there had been no FEMA at all, and all the offers of help from those who were turned away (especially the Red Cross) had come on their own to LA and MS, the people would have been far better off. Yes, there would have been some confusion, some who-is-in-charge-here concerns. (And your point is…..?)

Matt, I think Mary Landrieu’s press release the other day said that the US Forest Service’s flying water tanker (I know that’s not the correct term), used to help put out forest fires from the air, were turned away, too. And this morning, according to CNN, FEMA told Texas to scrap its plans for airlifting refugees from overcrowded shelters because FEMA is “taking over” and going to handle the problem. If I were Gov. Perry, I’d keep those planes on standby.

Kitten:

Yeah, but now we have a semi-scapegoat, don’t we? Hide the useless crony bastard Brown in Washington and we’ll all forget it. It couldn’t be Shrubya’s fault and now he’s hiding his Brownie evidence. Never fear though he’ll throw him under the bus when and if he has to.
