Has there been anything written at all about the physical and logistical nightmare of busing 23,000 people to the Astrodome from the Superdome? The vision of tens of thousands of refugees searching for higher ground in the Superdome simply horrifies the imagination.

Matt, I want to second Jimmy on that point. This collection is absolutely incredible. I’ve been referring people to you - in terms of where you can get help, I think you’ve got the best list, bar none.
Diane at DED Space had to evacuate. She managed to take her computer and her cats, and her stories are riveting. I strongly recommend that link.

I was wondering if its possible to house a orphan infant. If so how do I go about doing it? I live in GA and my heart goes out to all the people that were effected by Katrina. I live in a family of three and would love to give care to an infant or small children who may be in need of it right now. Please email me if you know of how I can go about doing this. THANKS>>> GOD BLESS :)
