Friday Random Ten

Put your digital music player on shuffle, click play, and list the first ten songs that come up. Resist the temptation to click past the bad or embarrassing songs, or to mess, in any other way, with the sacredness of the random ten.

Here’s my list:

1. “Won’t Give In” — Finn Brothers
2. “Caught” — Saturday Looks Good to Me
3. “What’s the Use” — Jaime Lidell
4. “PDA” — Interpol
5. “Badlands” — Bruce Springsteen
6. “Our Name” — Clouddead
7. “Dub Revolution” — Lee Perry & The Upsetters
8. “Over Fire Island” — Brian Eno
9. “Touched” — My Bloody Valentine
10. “He Needs Me” — Nina Simone

Song I like Most: “He Needs Me”
Song I like Least: “Our Name”
Favorite Album on this List: Loveless

What’s on your list?

Matt,

I like your #4. I prefer the first Interpol album to their second. The first is darker and reminds me of Joy Division. I dig the vibe on the first, although the second has some great tunes as well.
