When we first got Luna, I was completely opposed to giving her human food. But little by little, that opposition has slipped away. Part of it has to do with finding out more about the kinds of ingredients that go into pet food. And part of it has to do with the fact that we just can’t resist those pleading eyes.
I don’t think I’ll start cooking for her — I can barely motivate myself to microwave a Trader Joe’s burrito for my own dinner — but I don’t think I’ll stop giving her little tastes of the good life from time to time.

Luna has the right idea. Popsicles are the second best summertime treat. Next to water ice, that is.
