Favorite Album on this List: In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

This was a strange list in that I love almost every song on it, and don’t find anything embarrassing.

A note on the NY Dolls and Johnny Thunders: I’m a latecomer to both parties, arriving after reading Tom Watson.

I’m also something of a Bach Cello Suite fanatic, owning at least 4 versions. My favorite is this one by Jonas Starker.

banana-slug:

John Cale does a great version of Hallelujah on the I’m Your Fan tribute album, but nothing beats Leonard himself.

Matt:

I’m with you, Banana Slug. I recently made a mix cd called “The Hallelujah Mix” which had four or five different versions of that song . . . other good ones, besides Leonard and John Cale, include Rufus Wainwright and Jeff Buckley.

Nice lists, Blatherskite and RS.
